Nielsen is looking for a Java Architect to join the Innovation Delivery Organization (IDO). As a part of the IDO team you will be an integral part of a high energy team that is revolutionizing the way that Nielsen delivers value to both its customers and to Nielsen.
As a Nielsen Java Architect, you will be hands-on, and will be expected to bring new and fresh ideas to the company and its solutions. Requirements |
-8+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in software development.
-Experience with design, architecture and deployment of enterprise applications.
-Expert ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems.
-Very strong hands-on technical experience with JAVA/J2EE, web-based User Interfaces, Rich Internet Applications, SOA, Web Services, SOAP, XML, n-tier application architectures.
-Architecting experience with multi-tier, highly available, scalable, performance-oriented geographically distributed environments.
-Knowledge of one or more software development and proficiency in the use of utilities, batch processing, online processing, and n-tier processing.
-Advanced knowledge of one or more file access methods and database management systems.
-Expert knowledge of the appropriate operating systems and communication interfaces.
-Expert understanding and the ability to apply software design and testing principles.
-Ability to work effectively as a team member, across project teams, and independently.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
Education
-Bachelors degree or related work experience.
