Distributed Technology Services (DTS) is a global team comprised of Distributed Server Services, Global Storage Technologies, product management, and middleware & messaging. DTS is responsible for managing the firm's global storage portfolio and global GTI Server portfolio of 3,000 servers across plan, build and operate. The organization drives product management, engineering standards and productivity initiatives for server across the firm, as well as managing selected application services, including web hosting, middleware, source code management and database management.
The Web Specialist will work as part of the team responsible for JPMC's web hosting environments in NA, AP and EMEA. As such this involves a reactive element which is monitoring problem queues and working through problems to resolution as they arise. There is also a pro-active element which includes maintaining software currency; tracking volumes and use to manage capacity; inventory management; and, review of security alerts and taking any necessary remediation. The team operates as part of a larger global team which collectively provide follow the sun support.

Key Skills:
¢ Strong technical skills with proficiency in:
* Web Hosting (DMZs)
* Unix/ Windows System Administration
* Network Products & Protocols (TCPIP, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Intrusion Detection, DNS)
¢ Strong analytical ability and communication skills.
¢ Detailed understanding of web technologies and how they function in secure environments
¢ Good verbal and written communications skills.
¢ Self-motivated and able to deliver in high pressure situations
¢ Must be able to work with and leverage skills from other teams in the organization
¢ Good problem and/or customer management in high pressure conditions
Required Experience:
¢ Minimum two years experience with E-Commerce related technologies, ideally in a support function
¢ Used to working in a customer facing role and as part of a geographically distributed team.
¢ Strong technical skills with proficiency in:

* Unix/ Windows System Administration
* Network Products & Protocols (TCPIP, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Intrusion Detection, DNS)
* Application Servers (Websphere/ Tomcat)
* Java, JSP and other web standards
* Web Servers (iPlanet, IIS, IHS)
Desirable experience:
* Messaging (IBM) and integration experience (WMB, DataPower)
